Hi everyone! Oak here with some exciting news :3

So after launching our Steam page last week and after participating in for Spelkollektivet's 2019 Halloween Game Jam with our game Paper Cages, we decided to also launch the demo of Death and Taxes for WebGL. It generated lots of good traction since we uploaded it as a game you can play in the browser.. one thing led to another and.. you can play Death and Taxes right in your browser, too! So if you head over to the game page you can give it a whirl! This marks a pretty significant change for DnT, since we've only targeted purely standalone desktop platforms... until now.

We also added some quality of life changes from the feedback we got (THANK YOU <3 <3 <3 :D ). We made the profiles draggable, so you can drag them around your desktop to organize. We also fixed some layering logic for the profiles and your mobile phone so that things overlap more consistently. AND we added some bugfixes.

AND we added a new possible ending to the demo. I encourage everyone to try the demo out again and see if something could be a little different this time around. Maybe the world doesn't have to burn after all..? (OR MAYBE IT DOES??? Up to you >_>)

It's been a hell of a week already and it's just Wednesday. We hope to show off some more stuff come this weekend, but I will probably have to save that for the next devlog. Hint: it's something to do with audio...

Oh! And we're planning on an offline testing session here at Spelkollektivet where I will be baking some cinnamon rolls for volunteers so we can see how they play and how they feel about the game! EXCITEMENT. I love live tests. Best way to get to the most sincere emotions of our players.
